Midnight Lotus by Rosario Ivy Juanite
Spacing out with confusions
Popped in my head this questions
Why things turn into messy
Stuck in all this negativity

Setbacks, rejections and failure
Loneliness and anger trigger
Self-doubt transpired
All this clouding over my mind

Blame and shame game ascended
Losing spark, unmotivated
Merely existing but no life meaning
The whole lot thing is blurring

Starting again in a clean slate
Murky waters are cleared
Rising up above the mud
Reaching for the beacon of light as my command

It's not a straight line, It's all part of the ride
Hold your head up high and shine
See yourself as your own masterpiece
Why not create the most beautiful image
Beautiful story for yourself
About the Poem: "Some of us experienced misfortunes in terms of romantic relationship with a partner. I, myself has a fair share of this thing. It is a mixed feeling of emotions of a broken heart. My self-esteem was hit hard because of the betrayal. So, I choose the title "Midnight Lotus" because as we all know this flower symbolizes strength, resilience and rebirth. We, fell down for a while but we come back stronger. Just like the lotus flower that surrounded by murky waters but blooms beautifully on daybreak, we should not allow ourselves to stay on this dark phase of our life. We should not allow the negativity to destroy or affect our well-being and self-worth. Claiming back your energy is just like being born again. Creating positive moments and think that you are amazing uplifts your spirit. Be inspired and unbreakable again."
