Bright Future in your Life
This is my first artwork where for the first time I dared to show a painting on canvas. I gave it the title, “Bright Future in your Life”. This is about myself, my experienced trauma, being under pressure, restricted, and depressed from family, workplace, or friends and the surrounding environment. It affected my mental health. Insults and abuse made the days feel gloomy, like the sun is covered by clouds. Even the beautiful sunset can’t raise me up. I hid my sorrow for a long time. But the universe always has a way to raise up wounded souls.
The sun will always rise from the eastern horizon and shine on the world. The sun is a source of light and energy; not afraid to face challenges and keep standing, and stay strong like sunflowers. It’s a symbol of loyalty, adoration. And sunflowers are well known for being a happy flower and the perfect bloom to brighten someone’s mood.

Hi everybody 👋🏻 Let me introduce myself. I'm Indonesian and working in Hong Kong as a foreign domestic helper. My name is Niken Sindya Erna Arisanti but I'm also known as Kenji. I'm 33 years old. I loved art since I was kid; especially drawing and painting. I can express my feelings that I couldn't speak out. Art for me is something special. It's my friend and it's always with me wherever I go. It is also my therapy when I'm stressed.
