Lolly by Ma. Cecilia De Castro
About the artwork: "Let's call my charcoal drawing "LOLLY" for short of Lollypop. I started to learn how to draw 2 years ago, during COVID year. I am a beginner in drawing. I choose to draw this hard candy because it's become part of my daily life while facing my silent depression journey. Every time I'm feeling sad I just get a lolly and put in my mouth and yes it really helps me to calm my mind. It helps me divert my focus to the sweet taste and the cracking sounds of hard candy in my teeth and made me forget temporarily all my worries in my chaotic mind. I want to share my not so close to perfect drawing but I am proud that I try my best on this drawing art work, thank you."
