Season’s of the Soul’s Struggle

By Suci Resmiyati
In the midst of the crowd, I walk full of hope.
I dedicate my soul and energy
This season should be a field of goodness
But often, sacrifices are overlooked in the dark.
With all my heart, I try to always be there.
Holding hands full of hope
But behind the smile, there is a hidden wound
This sincerity is often looked down upon
The rainy season comes bringing deep sadness
Every teardrop is a reflection of sacrifice
Paid with slander and hurtful words
As if all efforts are just flying dust
In every step I take, there is a hidden story
Sincere sacrifices are often misunderstood
Badged by those who do not understand the struggle
Like a dark shadow covering the light
The summer burns with unspeakable fatigue
Every sweat is a symbol of hope
But behind all that, there is a sense of emptiness and disappointment
When my good intentions are turned into reproach
When autumn comes with the falling leaves
I reflect on everything I have been through
Every slander is a wound that scratches the soul
Making me wonder: “What does it all mean?”
My mind is shaken in this injustice
Support feels far away like the shadows of the night
With every heavy step, I seek justice
But often only find a dead end
Now I stand in the middle of a season full of wounds
With all the sacrifices that are not appreciated
These seasons are silent witnesses to the struggle of the soul
Taking me to a place where hope feels faint
But in this darkness, I try to survive
Looking for light at the end of the long tunnel
Even though slander and ridicule chase my steps
I will continue to walk for a dream that will not be extinguished
