This course enhances knowledge and understanding while promoting mental well-being and support within the migrant domestic worker (MDW) community, covering various topics such as the definition of mental health, the distinction between mental health and mental illness, common mental illnesses, addressing stigma, maintaining positive mental health, and knowing when to seek professional help. It emphasizes the importance of open conversations, active listening, kindness, and understanding in destigmatizing mental health issues.

Participants will learn about the importance of self-care, social support, and professional care in maintaining mental health, as well as gain practical tips for supporting peers with mental illness. In addition, the training provides resources and contact information for seeking professional help for the MDW community.
